Brandon is just a world class writer. Where the main books are very serious, this book was a way for him to let his hair down as a writer and just have some light hearted fun, while introducing some new characters. Kate's performance was great, too.

The writing and storytelling in this book is above any other book I've read and I'm thrilled I have so many more books to go. One suggestion: have a piece of paper ready to write down each main character and a 1 line description of them.. I had a very hard time following the huge amount of fresh characters thrown in my face right away.

Just as good as 14 and the Fold

Terminus dives deep on the areas left vague in the previous chapters and it does a damn fine job. It's scope is vastly wider than the previous chaoters which makes it feel less 'personal', but that is by no mean a bad thing. Think of 14 and Fold as roasting marshmallows over a fire, while Terminus is the setting off on the grand adventure.

Amazing storytelling as always from John. But man, this narration. The great variance from character to characteris astounding. All of them have their own mannerisms and ways of speaking, it really helps your imagination bring it all together. Seriously superior stuff here. Possibly even better than book 1.

What a fantastic tale. Cannot fault this book, it's just perfect. I'm now off to buy other books by this author and narrator!

It's strange. I couldn't stand the narration change for eternium, but Luke Daniels did rexus so great and it carried over to this one. Fantastic performance and story.

I originally had this set as a 1 star review, due to the jarring narrator change, but let me tell you what happened... I was pretty devostated when I saw the ritualist and the dungeon series changed narrator as vikus was near perfect for the role. When I started listening to this one it was just way too much of a change to stomach and I honestly hated most of the voices Luke chose. It made me rage quit and rate 1 stars. But.. I lasted decided to give rexus and the ritualist a try with Luke Daniels and I have to say... It might have even been BETTER with Luke Daniels as narrator! I enjoyed it more than the previous chapters. Anyway, that was enough for me to give this one a new crack. I can't say it was as good with Luke, but seeing his phenomenal performance on the other books, I could now stomach the jarring voice changes on this one. It's certainly worth pushing through the change.

I listen to Luke Daniels a lot, (in fact I'm listening to a new book narrated by him now) so I was happy to see he narrated this, too. My son falls asleep listening to it every night.

I like Luke Daniels but when I saw vikas didn't narrate this book I fell immediately sad.. I didn't think it matched Luke's style at all, but he proved me wrong. What a wacky, fantastic performance. On top of that, this book made me laugh more than anything else I've ever read. So jump in guys... And prepare to laugh. Edit: After finishing the book, I came back to say if I could give it even more stars I would. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out, it's going to be weird having our friendly chiropractor as just a side character again!
