I’m only writing this review because I’m sure Richard will be looking and refreshing the page for see who gives him 5 stars hahaha. I loved it - so much relatable, so much not. We are born feeling that our parents are perfect. It is a disappointing journey to learn how human they are. More disappointing for some than others. I have five children all at different stages of this journey. I am confident that I am both their mother and their Danota. I believe I provided enough unconditional love and real disappointments to hopefully create confident, sensitive souls. I am pleased that we never felt worried about the outcome, as it was clear from your first word that you turned out to be a brilliant human. Thank you for writing this book xxx

As a fellow shiny-squirrel-chaser, I feel both validated and inspired after *reading* (cough) this book. The fact that the author read this herself brought so much heart and humour to her story, which I enjoyed from start to finish. I had started to worry that I should become a grown-up and take life more seriously, so this book came along at the perfect time. I have given myself permission to relax and live life to the full. Thanks Lucy! (PS we should seriously be best friends)

If you want to have a productive weekend, don’t download this book. You’ll want to forget you have children and responsibilities... it should come with a warning lol.
