I'm so sad to finish this, Ray and Moth feel like my new, old friends. What a journey! Thank you for sharing with such honesty and so eloquently. I'm so sorry for the hardships you have suffered and homelessness is now at the forefront of my mind. You are both an inspiration for your love and courage. Much love.

All heart! ❤👌🏼

What a beautifully tender, painful yet joyous - heart-tugger-of-a-tale, I found myself barracking so hard for Sam all the way, what a ride! Hurrah for Craig Silvey for writing yet another stunning aussie story, it is sure to become a classic. Extra fun for me as I grew up in Freo and it felt like going home! FIVE big, bright shiny stars for both Author and incredible performance by the narrator Harvey Zielinski, bravo!

Absolute ripper of a yarn!

This was creepy and visceral and perfectly paced. Another Slaughter masterpiece! Will and Sarah are my favourite case solving couple ever, oh and Faith, don't forget Faith! - can't wait for their next big case!!

Beautiful writing, rich and lyrical.

Narration was excellent. I really enjoyed the descriptive writing, I could smell the smells and feel the feels. Brilliant, uncomfortable, painful and sickening in parts. But also some uplifting, redemptive moments. Well paced, a bit sparing. I wanted more of all of it, more of the rain heron, more of Ren and Daniel and Zoe. Overall it was thought provoking and melancholic. I really enjoyed it, highly recommend!

Great narration and many 'uh-huh' moments!
