Great book, but the narrator lets it’s down

Difficult to listen to. The narrators voice sounds like it’s being read by a computer, which was very off-putting. Particularly the way she pronounces “endometriosis”. The reading just doesn’t sound natural, and it turns an interesting topic into a frustrating and laborious experience.

I think this book is better bought and read to yourself.

The book itself was an excellent and chilling story, I particularly enjoyed the historical context of the final chapter!
The narrator was less than ideal. I felt her storytelling manner was abrupt and melodramatic and could have been a more natural reading of the story. It distracted me from the story quite a bit.
The audible app itself was infuriating as it kept skipping chapters with no warning, it would be reading chapter 2 then suddenly I’m in the middle of chapter 40. Updating made no difference, however switching from my iPhone to my iPad seemed to stop the madness. iPhone app needs a lot of work.

I have just stared a formal course in Spanish and bought this audio book to help me start speaking a little quicker. I was able to learn most of the basics for travel in a couple of hours over one day while driving to and from work. Looking forward to sharing my new words and sentences with my Spanish teacher this week!
