Her inn defies laws of physics, her dog is secretly a monster, and the only permanent guest of the inn is a former galactic tyrant with a price on her head. Story
Brian Castner served three tours of duty in the Middle East, two of them as the commander of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit in Iraq. Days and nights he and his team - his brothers - would venture forth in heavily armed convoys from their Forward Operating Base to engage in the nerve-racking yet strangely exhilarating work of either disarming the deadly improvised explosive devices that had been discovered, or picking up the pieces when the alert came too late.

unusual telling but the minute you understand the why , you realise the story telling is an integral part of the story. there are a couple of moments when the author cum narrator becomes emotional and this too gives added depth to the listeners understanding. We have an appreciation for having the opportunity to share what is usually hidden. bravery does wear many disguises but eventually it is stripped back to be revealed. this story allows us to see through the guises to the bravery overshadowed by duty, and the courage to face friends and loved ones and letting them see the damage that results from continued brave duty.

A fantastic trilogy but each book contains an amazing story, superb characters and Dick Hills narration is as perfect as his Jack Reacher and Nathan McBride interpretations. These books are definitely in my forever favourites.

this story is the perfect blend of a Nora Roberts romance and a J D Robb drama. WhileAll the characters are believable the unique situation of the main female character is superbly enhanced by a brilliant portrayal by the narrator.

For short-lived races like humans, space is dominated by the complicated, grandiose Mercatoria. Fassin Taak is a Slow Seer privileged to work with the Dwellers of the gas-giant Nasqueron. His work consists of rummaging for data in their vast, disorganised memories and libraries. Story
Father Kevin Thrall, chaplain to an inner-city parochial school in Washington, D.C., leads a quiet and rewarding life. But to the Vatican, Thrall's past of elite military combat is uniquely suited for a dangerous mission - one directly tied to the mysterious prophecy revealed by the Blessed Virgin to three Portuguese shepherd children. The three Secrets of Fatima were closely held by the Vatican for decades, but many believe that the Vatican withheld important - and possibly dangerous - parts of the Third Secret.

Would you listen to The Secret of Fatima again? Why?
Yes - several times if I live at least another 10 years
What did you like best about this story?
Father Kevin Thrall
Have you listened to any of Jeff Harding’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Do not recall having heard him before - but he was perfect for this book
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
At the beginning, Father Thrall's interaction with the students and later when the listener hears of Kevin choosing God above the woman he loves. Jeff Harding gave the characters words the perfect emotional interpretation.
Any additional comments?
Have no idea why I bought it, but so glad I did. Was not sure what to expect so was pleasantly surprised by the degree to which the novel hooked me in.
