Contagious Optimism is an uplifting book of stories and parables about amazing life turnarounds. A compendium of encouragement, it includes advice and guidance from business leaders, visionaries, and just plain folk. Nowadays, many people have lost confidence in themselves and the world around them due to personal hardship as well as economic and political uncertainty worldwide. Contagious Optimism offers listeners the possibility to look for and find silver linings. What did you like best about Contagious Optimism? What did you like least?

Not much

What was most disappointing about David Mezzapelle’s story?

There were occasional pearls but they were rare. Given that this is a work born of an America self obsessed and self absorbed in wealth creation, it struggles to step away from this core idea. And, for an avowed atheist, the references to religious practice are often toe ciurlingly awful. Sometimes very helpful, often vacuous and out dated.

What didn’t you like about David Kelly and Terri McMahon ’s performance?

I confess, I tired of the two perfumers endlessly sounding like themselves. This work would greatly have benefited from many more professional actors.

Was Contagious Optimism worth the listening time?

Barely.

What did you like most about Hope and Help for Your Nerves?

Claire Weekes not only knows what she's talking about, she has a style of delivery that is both wonderfully reassuring and, to use her own favourite word, utterly to the point. No New Age dissembling, no god-bothering invocations, just outstanding guidance that works literally as you are listening.

What did you like best about this story?

Of course, this is not a story but she does get you to drop your story and simply get down to the nitty gritty of stepping into the wonderful place you've craved for ages.

Which character – as performed by Claire Weekes – was your favourite?

She is my favourite character. She reminds me of my now gone English mom, wonderfully clear and emphatic. Makes you just want to get on with life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absoulutely, Mulitple times

Any additional comments?

If anxiety has been your burden, this book will get you onto the path of recovery and that is not hyperbole. Just buy it.
