Everyone should read this book. It is an in-depth analysis of the horrid world we bring our children into. We have a lot of work to do to improve society for girls and boys. Let’s start doing the hard work now!

This is such an important book. I found it so heartbreaking and angering how rampant and ignored the racism was against the main character. It was a hard topic but an important one. Recommended reading.

Haunting, disturbing but necessary.

The story was immensely haunting, characters were well developed and I felt connected to them all. A relevant topic to all in Australia. A disturbing but necessary reflection on the effects of unwavering border security.
