As an audio book, this is fantastic. As a book, in general, this is quite an undertaking. Breaks are necessary. It goes deep into domestic violence and presents balanced, quantifiable viewpoints.
As grueling as it is, there is hope in it, which makes the effort worth it.

Tim’s story is familiar in some parts, but also a tremendous learning tool. Read this for yourself or put it under the eyes of a friend in need. Great story and I’m sorry I missed the live show!

This is an excellent guide and resource on how to change one’s relationship with alcohol.
It disparages AA a bit, which sort of makes sense, but overlooks the social aspect of programs like AA.
All in all, I took a lot from this book.

Misogyny is strong in this one. With a good edit, this has the potential to be useful. Without that, this is just a screed.

Stephen Toast is a wonderfully wrought character. Some of the stories seem a bit lacking, but overall it was delightfully funny.

An amusing, engaging and soul-searching journey juxtaposing contemporary media/political milieu and the great social uprising of the late ‘60s
