It was a relief to complete this riveting but awful story of the life of horror suffered by those within the orbit of Michelle novochek, ably assisted by terrified children and a bunch of seemimgly blind and ignorant adults, including teachers and police.

Not sure I like the allusions to sexual attraction, trotting out chauvinistic tropes like a 70's pot boiler at times! the listen is easy and amusing but a little let down by the midsomerish style.

Addictive page scroller I could not pause, great voicing on a sometimes complex and over-the-top plot that weaves it's way up and down the straight highways of western nsw with the beautifully evoked vistas and painful realities of regional life writ large. Great listen!

What an exhilarating romp, like a bodgy ride at the ECCA, not quite sure our unlikely hero will survive the wasteland of outer suburban brisbane, with junkie parents, amputations, disappearences, Asian gangs, .. and Titus Brosch! this is a mystery within a great read, like Mona Lisa's smile .
