What a masterpiece! I could have listened for the rest of time to Robert Garland - his knowledge, enthusiasm, and balanced outlook are a joy to experience and inspire a love of learning. Like the orators of history, he is moving and extremely memorable.

Just like his other book, Peter Wohlleben has managed to create a work of beauty, subtlety, insight, and respect. a thoroughly enjoyable read and a must for those interested in revisiting our preconceptions of other living creatures.

Insightful and poignant, particularly in our current environment. History is written by the 'victors', but it's high time we started telling the stories of those on the other side of history. These are some of those stories. Well worth the listen by anyone, anywhere

This has got to be one of the most wonderful books I have read in a long while. We humans view so much of our lives from our short-lived people-centric perspective - this book is a treasure trove of insight and information into the lives, loves, and complexities of our wooded friends. Recommended for anyone, anywhere, anytime.

This course is fairly fast paced but is a delightful introduction to the concepts and themes within human myth. There is some questionable pronunciations of places and people throughout, but overall a very enjoyable book.

If museums could talk, this is what they would sound like and these are the tales they would tell. A fantastic course for anyone interested in any kind of ancient history. What an absolute joy it has been to listen to!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book - it was both funny and educational! The accent of the reader was delightful, although sometimes she paused for a little too long as she spoke which took some getting used to.
