3rd book a disappointment
Reviewed: 27-03-2019
I found this 3rd book in the series a disappointment. More a love story with a few battles, than a post emp. The first 2 books in the series were great but I found this one to be crammed with descriptive love and pregnancy filler.I am sure many readers would enjoy this book but it was just not for me.The narration was very good and managed to get me through the parts I inwardly groaned at.

An interesting and informative story as well as being a gripping ,on the edge of the seat tale. I would recommend it for all ages as it includes teenagers as well as older, mature characters. It was well narrated and the tension and fear were made clear. Thank goodness for audible books with proficient, clear narration with great stories.

Story
When fifteen-year-old American Hailey Portman goes missing in Switzerland, her desperate parents seek the help of their neighbor, Finn Harrington, a seemingly quiet historian rumored to be a former spy. Sensing the story runs deeper than anyone yet knows, Finn reluctantly agrees to make some enquiries. He has little to go on other than his instincts, and his instincts have been wrong in the past - sometimes spectacularly wrong.

My now favourite author. Listening to his books hold me quite spellbound and I don't want them to end. The main character is understandable. The story gripping and I would recommend it to all ages. Loved it.

Needed to download this more than once and still was only audio up to a certain point before it told me :unable to read audio files:
I finished the book by reading it in very enlarged print, at about 12 words per page. Not a bad book but I was put off by the necessity of having to read. I have only just found audible and as I am sight impaired, this was the answer to my love of books. Maybe I am doing something wrong as I often hit the wrong place because of sight. I love the readers, the expression they put into the story is absolutely great. Audible is certainly terrific for the sight impaired.
