While I was engaged with this book and wanted to keep listening, I didn't adore it. I was highly recommended this book but wasn't that impressed. Perhaps it is a book I need to deep dive with discussion etc and I would like it more.

Absolutely loved it. Finished in two days

I really loved this book. I was grateful that it was a decent length and didn't want it to end.

The narrators did an amazing job. Their performance really added to my enjoyment of the novel, particularly Casey.

Holly Wainwright doesn't just hit the nail on the head of what marriage and life with kids can be like, but she smashes it with a sledgehammer. I found it so very relatable.

I loved the 'Aussieness' of this book and the local Sydney references. Happy days. Thank you Holly.

Cute. Nice Aussie references and great narrator

This story was a nice easy listen while I worked.

I enjoyed the Aussie references and humour. I thought the narrator was brilliant with his versatility with character voices.

A nice story of family values, love and the reality of life.

While it won't go down as one of my favourite books ever I really enjoyed it as an easy listen and recommended it to my Mum.

I love how it got straight into the story. Despite being 22 hours long I was glad of it as it was fast paced and the narrator was brilliant. I wanna see the movie!

The timing of Glennon’s book was superb. It ended and I went back to the start to let it all sink in again. Glennon, if you read this, you’ll never know the impact. Thank you

Consumed this over two days because I was so enthralled. I read a lot of self improvement type books and this one was just different. Made me realise there is just no excuse for laziness and mediocrity and I am going to really start and amp things up in my own life.

Damn, even made me feel like going for a run. Ha!

Light and funny. I didn't want it to end.

I really loved this book and demolished it over two days. Michala Banas was brilliant as the narrator and a perfect choice. I couldn't help but picture her as Emma. Knowing her mannerisms and looks it was easy for me to picture her as Emma.

Jessica Dettmann is clearly a Mum and had the whole mum scene and life down pat. It made me smile and laugh knowing I had been through so many of the scenarios with my own kids.

My only wish was that this was a TV show that I could watch each week.

Brilliant. Loved it. Not necessarily deep or cliff hanging, but totally enjoyable.

The Explosive Child cover art

I feel sorry for the author, this robotic and disjointed narration was horrendous

While the content of the book was very helpful I just couldn’t stand the auto bot sound of the narration. I really hoped to have my husband listen to this book but there’s no way he would listen to this. How I wish the author had just read it.
I really question why they would allow the computer sounding reading of this book.

The concepts were good however I felt it could even have been more condensed but that feeling probably stems from my utter annoyance with the narration. Her voice is fine but the way they’ve had it chopped together is horrible.

I really loved this book and listened within a few days. I do find stories of this time in history fascinating and emotional.

The narrator is exceptional. I loved his voice and flexibility.

I wanted to listen as often as I could and there were some interesting parts and twists but it wasn’t fabulous for me.

I feel like the ending could have been more developed somehow. Still worth a listen.
