Possibly the best military audible book I have ever heard, and I've listened to many. Great story with excellent narration by Michael Fenner, who's character-play is second-to-none. Gripping every minute of the way and a well thought through story.

5 Stars, BUT, why the re-release?

Thought I'd started a new Dan Shepard book, only to realise as the book got underway that I'd purchased this book before. These latest 3 "Dan Shepard" books show up as 2020, but they are old books being re-released, confusing to say the least! Check you have not already heard before purchase. Regardless, still a great book thou. I have not found a better team - Stephen Leather and Paul Thornley are by far my fav choice of author and narrator, and I always jump on any new book from this great pair.

Great book, so pleased to have discovered this series by David Baldacci. Started to download after seeing great reviews for David Baldacci books, and I can now see why.

Excellent as always, but forgive me, can't quite workout why it's called "False Friends". Have never come across a better combo than "writer Stephen Leather" with "Paul Thornley narrating". Absolutely the best. Ok, onto book 10 (True Colours) now.

I wanted to like this book, but could just not 'get to grips' with the multi-cast. I mostly listen to audible in the car, and found with this book I had to constantly adjust the volume as each character changed. David Thorpe (the narrator) was excellent as always and I could not help wishing he alone had read this book without all these other annoying characters. I have thoroughly enjoyed every other Mark Dawson book and rate his work highly. Just felt let down by this particular performance.

Great book as always and great to continue the story. I was only put off by the choice of the narrator, who I will avoid in future.

Thought the series of three (Sergeant Mike Cramer) absolutely fantastic with very enjoyable and highly professional narration. Fully recommend this series of three (listened to them in 2019)

Gripping story and performance. Although, does the narrator need to make Danny seem so aggressive all the time to everybody he encounters?

Great book. I have listened to all Mark's books, this being the latest until another is released. Can't wait for the next, my favourite author by a long shot. David Thorpe is an excellent narrator also, and combined the two are unbeatable. Thank you both for so many hours of entertainment.
