I REALLY enjoyed this book. The story and plot was incredibly well written; the narrator, Jennifer Vuletic, was excellent, each character well the represented and identifiable. Will definitely look for more by both. Highly recommended.

I have really enjoyed the first two books in this series and was so looking forward to this, the third. Gemma Woodstock is a strong character and Sarah Bailey a great author.

In Where the Dead Go, I was made very aware how a narrator and the intonations used when reading can make a difference in portraying that character. I didn’t like Ms French as Gemma Woodstock, at all. Woodstock can be difficult and removed at best, Ms French had her sounding like a total bi*** all the time.
In comparison to listening to Kate Hosking, this narrator was less than adequate. Story good.

Another great WW2 storybook Annie Groves. I really love her heart warming stories. Each character is beautifully portrayed and even though the stories are fictitious, they are strongly based on fact.
I do have to warn any NZ or Australian listeners that Anna Baatz’s attempt at a Kiwi accent is not the best (sounds Australian!) but it doesn’t detract from the story as a whole. Can’t wait to start the next in this series 😊

Great story, very well written and the twists keep you guessing right to the end. Set in Ireland, Aoife’s accents are beautiful; one character has an Australian accent which she didn’t do quite so well, but once I had accepted it, it didn’t detract my thoroughly enjoying this book. Can’t wait to get the next one.

If you only ‘liked’ Jimmy Barnes and his music before you listen this the first book in his life’s journey, you will love and totally respect him afterwards.
Not only is he a great singer, songwriter, humanitarian and entertainer, he’s a really nice guy and a very talented writer. Listen and find out for your yourself ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You must read the Power of One to fully appreciate the brilliance of Tandia by the incredibly talented Bryce Courtenay. I struggle to decide which of his works I enjoy the most but if I’m honest these two are right up there... Enjoy 😊

Can’t recommend highly enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow... I have read this book and the following one, Tandia twice, many years ago and absolutely loved it. It counts right up there at the top of my all time favourite novels. The author is so good, one could believe they were there and even that it could be a true story. Emotion, dedication, loyalty, humility and love for South Africa are ingrained in his words. The narrator in this case has captured the accents, culture and characters perfectly only adding to my love for this book. Can’t recommend highly enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve really loved this series and thoroughly enjoyed this story. Only one very minor whinge; Francie’s pitiful voice irritated me enormously! But it definitely didn’t put me off listening to the story 😉
