A story of unconditional love and acceptance where you least expect it. Imagine yourself a thirteen-year-old hundreds of miles away from home, in a strange city, and your mom leaves you at a bus station and drives off into the night with her lover. That's the real life story of country music star Jimmy Wayne. It's a miracle that Jimmy survived being hungry, homeless, and bouncing in and out of the foster care system, and sleeping in the streets.

The start to the finish gave a really great insight into not only one individuals life, but also those that surrounded him. To have gone through the struggles and still emerge with love is a pure sign of God's love, protection and grace.

Great fan of both Mark Tufo and Sean Runnette!

Have enjoyed every book in this series. It allows me to go back a book to catch up with who I consider my own little zombie/vampire running from the craycrays too! I so enjoy how Sean brings each of the characters back to life for me. I’m eagerly awaiting the next instalment

After a long day of prepping a house for painting, all Gus Berry wanted was the night off to spend some time with his girlfriend and relax before having to return to work the next morning. But that isn’t going to happen. Because Gus’s co-worker Benny has found a one-night job at the local Mollymart East, a job that has to be done by morning. If Gus and his paint crew can complete the work by then, it could mean huge business with a respected, established grocery store chain.

Would you listen to Demon Fallout again? Why?

I would, it's also given me the need to start the ZF series again. I think being reminded of Mike's family members and people he interacted with has made this the need to listen through all of the tales again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bill and the introduction to Timothy. Another addiction to add to my download basket :)

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I can't imagine any of Mark's books being read by anyone else. For me he is Mike and he is BT and he is Tomas.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

That's the problem I would, but then I'd be hanging out for the next one, so I tend to drag it out and rewind to make sure I don't miss anything.

Any additional comments?

Never get writers block Mark!! Love how he can scare the crap out of me one minute and have me giggling like an idiot the next :)

Would you consider the audio edition of Those Left Behind to be better than the print version?

I've never read the print version as the audio edition provides me with access to listening when I'm driving or something that I listen to when heading off to sleep....yes, listening to the Zombie Fallout series does lull me into a sense of lights out!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love the "keep going" attitude of the main character even when he drives me bonkers with some of his rambo moves followed by the regrets that affect his loved ones.

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette – was your favourite?

I like the nuances of all of the characters that he performs. I'm impressed with how the subtle differences give me a sense of "knowing" those characters on their journey through the series.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

laughed, cried, grumbled, guffawed, angered and omg'd my way through this book!

Any additional comments?

As an avid reader of text, moving into the audio arena of storytelling with this type of narrator and his ability to weave the story are why I keep coming back. The mix of humour/horror/drama/love is why I have enjoyed this book, this series, this author and this narrator. :)

It began with the breathtaking Daughter of Smoke and bone... This November, the story continues in the astounding sequel, Days of Blood and Starlight Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love and dared to imagine a new way of living - one without massacres and torn throats and bonfires of the fallen, without revenants or bastard armies or children ripped from their mothers' arms to take their turn in the killing and dying.

A short story of approximately 9500 words. The first story of the "Mountain Man" series. Contains language and graphic violence. If you enjoy this, check out the rest of the series.

If you could sum up The Hospital: The FREE Short Story: The First Mountain man Story in three words, what would they be?

Keep lights ON!

What did you like best about this story?

The characters with all their flaws and moments of heroism. The description of scenes and impending doom held me captured and I felt as if I was "in" the story. Love it when a story takes me to that place.

Have you listened to any of R. C. Bray’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I've only listened with this series and have found his performance outstanding. I was able to identify the characters by the simple changes he made to his voice, but it was also keeping in character that kept the flow of the story seamless

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Held me in suspense for a short story as well as horrified with the potential threat to Gus.

Any additional comments?

Would recommend the series to anyone who enjoys zombies and human survival in a world over run with the undead.
