Loved this. Couldn’t sleep as I didn’t want to stop listening. Great characterisations. Loved the music and the suspense was well done. Well written.

The Secret Place
- By: Tana French
- Narrated by: Stephen Hogan, Lara Hutchinson
- Length: 20 hrs and 35 mins
The photo shows a boy who was murdered a year ago.The caption says, "I know who killed him". Detective Stephen Moran hasn't seen Holly Mackey since she was a nine-year-old witness to the events of Faithful Place. Now she's 16 and she's shown up outside his squad room, with a photograph and a story. Even in her exclusive boarding school, in the graceful golden world that Stephen has always longed for, bad things happen and people have secrets.

Painful to listen to.
Unfortunately I couldn't even finish this novel. Never even got passed chapter 4. I found the narration grating at worst and tedious at best. The narrator's portrayal of the teenage girls was overdone. I loved the narration of 'Faithful Place' which was why I tried another of this author's novels in audio. I won't be buying another to listen to.
