This is an awesome piece of historical fiction. The narrator is probably the best I’ve ever heard .

I really like Michael Malice but I couldn’t finish this and returned it . It’s well researched and great for Americans or anyone that has a detailed understanding of American political history. I though I knew enough to be able to follow but clearly I don’t . It’d be a great listen if you have a grasp of all the background information.

I really tried to love this book but it was such a constant disappointment. It’s mostly a tedious rant , I just couldn’t get to the end . It comes across as a man swamped by his own ego needing to churn out another book to satisfy a publishing contract. Not his best work .

I only got 5 minutes into the first one but it was so unfunny I can’t bring myself to listen to the rest . I want no trace of this trash on my device , ugh ! Truly awful , stay away .

Thomas Sowell wrote this in 1980 but the content is just as relevant today . He has amazing insight . Beautifully read by the narrator. I’ll be listening again because it was just so full of information.

Let me disclose that I didn’t finish this book , & that I returned it for a refund .
I like to learn from experience, and to also learn from the experience of others . This guy basically just spend the whole book bragging that he bluffed his way to wealth , and that if he didn’t know something he didn’t care and would either bluff his way through or delegate it to someone else . Not a whole lot of self reflection there . Maybe the tone changed as the book went in but I couldn’t get through it . It was a bit outdated ( I didn’t realise it was a 20th anniversary re release) and the narration is dull .
