I don't normally read crime novels, but this WS great :) Excellent writing and a great performance. I very much recommend this book, even to people who don't usually go for crime novels.

I struggled to finish this mainly because of Dotrice's bland narration. A pity, since the book is very good.

I struggled to finish this one most probably because it's just not what I look for in a book.
I can see why others might like it as its very different from any normal story.
Bring on book 3 of the King Killer Chronicle, Rothfuss, my body is ready.

This is a great ending to an exciting - and stressful - story full of political intrigue and mass slaughter.
With all its plot twists and Andrew's constant stupidity you never know what's going to happen next! I loved it!
Simon Vance is a great narrator, however I give him a 4 as he is not on par with the best I've heard.
I highly recommend this trilogy and Simon Vance to any young adults and higher.

The narrator of this book is so bland I needed a glass of water after every listen.
I gave it a good 2 hours by I couldn't bring myself to continue after that.
seems like an interesting plot build-up but I wouldn't know about that.

Great world building and pacing. Characters are deeply flawed in their own ways which is great.
Narration is good with great differentiation between the different character voices.
Finally, the story is great! Full of twists and intrigue!
I highly recommend this great book.

This was an excellent series and I really enjoyed it! I struggled to keep interested in this book though. There were a lot of moments where I thought to myself "is this really necessary?" and "this has already been explained to me in this book."
RC Bray is a good reader though it would be better if he improved on his variation in voice pitch/accents. He can be a little monotonous at times, but I feel like the writing really emphasised that.
In summary: this book was a good ending to the series but it suffers from slow pacing and over-embellishment

Brilliantly written and narrated!
Never have I been so frustrated for a character before.
10/10 I need the next book ASAP!
