A terrifying lie. A horrifying truth. The chilling new psychological thriller by S. K. Tremayne, author of the Sunday Times number one best seller The Ice Twins. Sometimes you can’t even trust yourself.... It was just a patch of ice. Just a bit of bad luck. But it was nearly enough to kill Kath Redway, spinning her car into Burrator Reservoir in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park.

Four years ago Eliza Dacey was brutally murdered. Within hours, her killer was caught. Wasn’t he? So reads the opening titles of Jack Quick’s new true-crime documentary. A skilled producer, Jack knows that the bigger the conspiracy, the higher the ratings. Curtis Wade, convicted of Eliza’s murder on circumstantial evidence and victim of a biased police force, is the perfect subject. Millions of viewers agree. Just before the finale, Jack uncovers a minor detail that may prove Curtis guilty after all. Convinced it will ruin his show, Jack disposes of the evidence and delivers the finale unedited: proposing that Curtis is innocent.

really struggling to understand how this made thriller of the year. Can only assume that it's because it's an audible original. poorly written, from the outset it was like walking into the middle of a half told story. there was no set up if the characters, ppl would appear as if you were supposed to know who they were or how they fit into the story. where there was not enough info setting up the characters there was too much gaff with irrelevant and detailed descriptions of other things. timeline jumps around but again is not clear. all in all at chapter 6 I have had to return.

"My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me. I'm in a coma. My husband doesn't love me anymore. Sometimes I lie." Unnerving, twisted and utterly compelling, you won't be able to put this new thriller down. Set to be the most talked about book in 2017, it's perfect for fans of Behind Closed Doors, The Girl on the Train and The Widow.

Was so disappointed after hearing so many people rave about the mini series. The book jumped all over the place and the narrator did nothing to demonstrate the change in time or thoughts etc. such a boooooring story. The best bit about it was finishing and being able to move on to another book. Don't waste your credits on this one.

this is one of those books where even in the middle you're hoping that they are writing a sequel... where when you get to the end your sad because its over and you have to say good bye to the characters. I read my very first terry goodkind 20 years ago... and STILL an amazing author. naration was absolutely on point too!!loved it
