Story
For years, rumors of the 'Marsh Girl' have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life - until the unthinkable happens.

So glad I finally purchased this book

I went back and forth about buying this for some time before finally deciding to and I'm so glad I did!
The book is beautifully written with whimsical descriptive language drawing you into Kya's life in the marsh and the narration is fantastic at supporting this. I enjoyed the movement between present day and Kya's life growing up to build the murder mystery momentum with possible clues/motives scattered throughout the book.
It is definitely a book I will listen to several times.

Story
It was supposed to be easy. Thursday would share her husband, Seth, with his other two wives, Monday and Tuesday - two women she’s never met and knows nothing about. No questions asked, no hurt feelings. And for a while, the arrangement works...until Thursday finds a scrap of paper with a name - Monday’s real name - and an address. Now Thursday can’t stop herself. She wants to know more about this woman: who she is, what she’s like...what Seth sees in her that Thursday doesn’t have.

Couldn’t stop listening

I really got into this book. The characters and storyline drew me in but I had to listen through headphones as it wasn’t suitable for my children to catch and earful of. I actually wasn’t disappointed by the ending.
