This book was not what I was expected but I loved it, every minute. The insight into WW2 was shocking, tragic and unexpected. Highly recommend.

Story
One of the most famous accounts of living under the Nazi regime comes from the diary of a 13-year-old Jewish girl, Anne Frank. Edited by her father Otto H. Frank and German novelist Mirjam Pressler, this is a true story to be rediscovered by each new generation.

Very Moving

This book I remember from my teenage years, I remember loving the story, relating to some of the typical teenage issues she talks to and being devastated by the ending. This extended version did not disappoint though now as an adult Anne’s daily issues were less relatable too. The ending though hit me harder than ever since I have a better understanding of the devastation and issues from WW2. I would highly recommend this book. Narration was great though at time quite fast causing a little confusion time to time. Even now, days later it’s hard to forget the tragic ending, this is a book I’ll read again.

Story
Stephen King says he wanted to know what happened to Danny Torrance, the boy at the heart of The Shining, after his terrible experience in the Overlook Hotel. The instantly riveting Doctor Sleep picks up the story of the now middle-aged Dan, working at a hospice in rural New Hampshire, and the very special 12-year old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals.

Story
The Center for women's reproductive health offers a last chance at hope - but nobody ends up there by choice. Its very existence is controversial, and to the demonstrators who barricade the building every day, the service it offers is no different from legalised murder. Now life and death decisions are being made horrifyingly real: a lone protester with a gun has taken the staff, patients and visitors hostage.

Closure

I love this author and I will continue to read her books however this book didn’t provide closure on the many key characters which is a huge missing for me. The timeline went backwards which was confusing and although I found it an interesting read, I wish I knew how the characters moved forward after being held hostage.
