I enjoyed this book more than i had expected, perhaps because it was more about human nature and relationships, with the actual "mystery" less of the main event, and more of a catalyst for action. If you like the detective varg books, you will probably like this one too. but if you want more of a pure detective story, this may disappoint. there seems to be an error with the audio file where chapter 12 (i think) is out of order. it would be good if audible/isis could correct this.

Very interesting plot with lots of twists and turns, and plenty of compelling characters. I was kept guessing the whole time. My main issue was that, more and more, as the story progressed, I began to see both heroines as morally questionable. I found myself feeling critical of their choices rather than cheering them along. It's possible that challenging the reader like this was something the author intended, but to me it was distracting and ultimately reduced my enjoyment of the story as a whole. Others may feel differently though, and I would still be interested to see a sequel. Enjoyed the narration but not a narrator I would seek out.

Really smart, interesting lecture series that I learned a lot from. Elizabeth Vandiver is terrific - great balance between making detailed/complex concepts accessible to the layperson, without oversimplifying.

amazing performance by reader with atmospheric music. excellent choice of stories bookended with beggining and end of original book to get a clear impression of what it is like to read the entire collection as a whole. wish it had included more stories but i am glad i chose this abridged version bevause of the high quality of performance and earthier authentic translation.

As usual, Marian Keyes has written characters that are fascinating, frequently hilarious and complex. And Aoife McMahon's reading is terrific. I wasn't as keen on the plot though and struggled with the second half of the book, getting frustrated with the main characters actions and not quite believing in or caring about the romance. Ending felt rushed to me. Recommend to fans of Marian Keyes's other books but if you haven't read her before, I would suggest starting with one of the Walsh books or a different standalone title.

Excellent story with really interesting complex characters. Serious themes but loads of hilarious moments. At the risk of sounding prudish i found some of the sex scenes a bit over the top. But everything else was fine. Great reading by Juanita as usual.

The plot I this one really kept me guessing - much more than did the Zig Zag Girl (book 1 in the series). I thought the character development and introduction of more interesting female characters also made this satisfying on many levels.

Story was gripping and the characters were unusual and interesting. I was really engrossed in the plot and excited to see how it all unfolded. Although the final reveal featured many surprises, I thought it was pretty obvious who the murderer was. Narrator was excellent.
