Eat, Pray, Love is a journey around the world, a quest for spiritual enlightenment, and a story for anyone who has battled with divorce, depression, and heartbreak. It's 3 a.m., and Elizabeth Gilbert is sobbing on the bathroom floor. She's in her 30s, she has a husband, a house, they're trying for a baby - and she doesn't want any of it. A bitter divorce and a turbulent love affair later, she emerges battered and bewildered and realises it is time to pursue her own journey in search of three things she has been missing....

This book spoke right to my soul. It helped me make peace with my past, arrive in the present and contemplate my future. I was finally able to put a reason behind the fuzzy but sincere resistance to the continued marriage proposals (complete with multiple rings) of my partner. I enjoy simple things, like a cup of tea, or sharing a meal with my children whilst being fully present. My faith that everything will work out was restored. It is sometimes ok to crave solitude, in order to find reserves of love where you thought there wasn't any anymore.
Thank you, Elizabeth Gilbert

it was a great story. Just very very very very long. When something is that long, it gets repeditive, and names get re-used and one gets confused. In saying that I loved it, especially to listen to while I was at work.

Story was interesting, and I liked how the narrator read it. The only thing was that the voices of the characters were hard to listen to; they didn't fit, and were spoken a lot more slowly than the rest of the story. I wanted to change the speed every time somebody spoke. Reading the book may have been more pleasant.
