Great read. Love this series and Stephen Moss as a writer is brilliant. Excellent engaging read by RCBray. Came here for Bray and pleasantly surprised by Moss as this is the first series of books I have read of his.

This book shows how the denial of the low carb benefits by the food industry and their minions in the so called health professions will never be able to trump the real science. It is only a matter of time before the people of the world will see this complete failure of those deniers to help us to be healthier people. The industries that are making us addicted to their garbage food will suffer in the end instead of the people. Prof Noakes suffered greatly because evil people had a beef with him exposing the truth of their failings to truly help the people of South Africa and the world through proper human nutrition.

Ben Bikman is a very smart guy and this book is a must listen to everyone with a heartbeat. I love listening to everything he has to say because of the vast knowledge he has on our metabolic health. I just wish I had found him sooner and I might not have been as unhealthy as I was 6months ago. You never get to know any of this stuff from big food and big pharma.

This is a fantastic book and you keep on the edge of your seat right till the end. Great narration and quite a few laugh out loud moments which I love in writers as it keeps you interested. Haven't watched the movie made from this but is definitely on my bucket list, if only just to see the differences made in the movie itself. Hope there is a sequel coming!

You remember when you were young and your mum told you things which you took as the truth and when you grew up you found out some of them weren’t true. Now as adults you believe everything your doctors say. Just like our mothers wisdom can sometimes be incorrect so can our doctors wisdom. Doctors are all human and make mistakes or are just plain ignorant about things to do with our health. This book gets you on the right path to question everything that comes out of your doctors mouth. I have been thinking this way for the last 18months myself when I had a CSF leak from a 1cm hole at the base of my skull and fluid was leaking out of one nostril. I was told by one doctor it was allergies and when I questioned about getting the CSF presence fluid test he said no such test exist. I asked to be referred to an ENT because I felt he didn’t know what he was talking about and the first thing they did was test the fluid coming out of my nose. A $25,000 operation 3 weeks later by the ENT knowing what they were talking about saved many complications from brain sag, meningitis, and massive headaches for the rest of my life. Don’t risk your life with ignorant doctors. I have since found myself a new doctor who is brilliant. Take charge of your health and start by reading this book from DR Berry. It may one day save your life
