I found a lot of the references not making sense because I’m not that educated in history which is my own fault I suppose but I got the gist of the book. I found the last chapter, the credits, was actually the most interesting and enjoyable part! I am glad I have now listened to it regardless, it just wasn’t gobsmackingly amazing for me.

I’ve listened to handful of similar ‘self-help-y’ type books and this one didn’t leave me feeling ‘wowed’ like other reviews have said. It was very warm and squishy but I didn’t get any ground breaking bits of info. Maybe I had too high of hopes for it given everyone propped it up so much? Wasn’t bad. Wasn’t mind blowing either.

So good!

Such a great book I didn’t want it to end. The voice was great and I took away a lot. I usually listen in the car to and from work and find I would be motivated and inspired after listening for the 20-30 minute drive. It started breaking down that black and white mindset, that negative self talk that suggests you can’t do something when you actually can, you just have to keep doing it.

This is my first book on Audible. I enjoyed it and was definitely able to get a lot of notes from it. All points make sense and it’s easy to follow. Narrator is clear and good to listen to. Can’t say it’s changed my life but it is interesting enough to keep you listening and you’ll take away from it quite a number of ideas.
