Story
In this book, with her characteristic humour and gutsy intelligence, Turia Pitt goes on a quest to answer the question, Is it possible to be happier? What does she discover on her journey? Well, look, that's why we want you to buy the bloody book, but we can tell you that it entails, among other things, practising gratitude, working on kindness, self-love, strengthening your relationships and accepting the hard times and bad days.

Happy
Reviewed: 10-11-2020
Turia Pitt was an Australian who thought she was happy, then Turia was caught in a bushfire. Her struggle to overcome and to explore what it means to be 'happy'. I love the book, it was so Australian in outlook and it was a mirror to oneself and to remember to be happy with life you must first be happy within.

Bad Marriage, very bad

The narration by Stephen Curry was amazing and I think that’s why I was not overly impressed with the story it was like hearing the argument from the neighbours like a the fly on the wall as a marriage dissolves.
I enjoyed the narration, I’m sorry I heard the book.

Story
In Riversend, an isolated country town brought to its knees by endless drought, a charismatic and dedicated young priest steps out of his church and calmly opens fire on his congregation, killing five parishioners before being shot dead himself. A year later, troubled journalist Martin Scarsden arrives in Riversend to write a feature on the anniversary of the tragedy. But the stories he hears from the locals about the priest and incidents leading up to the shooting don't fit with the accepted version of events his own newspaper reported in an award-winning investigation.

The story was great, a bit too long, too much going over the same material. Chris has captured the life of a small Australian Town, I could almost feel the heat of the day. Mostly the story was good, kept going with it as the descriptions were true to the life in a small country town. The story was long and drawn out, having said that I didn't enjoy it.

It’s sweltering in Charlotte, North Carolina and Temperance Brennan, still recovering from neurosurgery following an aneurysm, is battling nightmares, migraines, and what she thinks might be hallucinations when she receives a series of mysterious text messages, each containing a new picture of a corpse that is missing its face and hands. Immediately, she’s anxious to know who the dead man is, and why the images were sent to her. An identified corpse soon turns up, only partly answering her questions.

My 19th Bones book my first audio listen from this Author.
I enjoy the medium as I’ve been too busy to put my hands on a paper book.
In the past I have enjoyed the books by Kathy Reichs. Not sure but this time I thought it was a few chapters too many.
I’ve put that down to me, I still enjoyed the story and I do enjoy this medium of having the book read to me.
