Keri Locke, Missing Persons Detective in the Homicide division of the LAPD, remains haunted by the abduction of her own daughter, years before, never found. Still obsessed with finding her, Keri buries her grief the only way she knows how: by throwing herself into the cases of missing persons in Los Angeles. A routine phone call from a worried mother of a high-schooler, only two hours missing, should be ignored. Yet something about the mother's voice strikes a chord, and Keri decides to investigate.

I enjoyed the book but found the accents for all the people involved were cockney and this was LAPD very strange

I enjoyed the storyline and the narration was good. I found however the English accents very confusing especially the rougher accents. I found it hard to put together being in the USA and having a police force that were all English.

The story line was good but spoilt for me by the terrible narration. Amy's awful voices and bad accents made it very hard to listen to.
I think it would have been far more enjoyable to read rather than listen.
Her normal voice though is quite pleasant.
