Clavell is a literary genius. Whilst not my favourite of the series, it’s still an amazing story and compels me to want to read the next.

This was an incredible epic. An incredible performance by the narrator and one of the best things I’ve listened to in my life.
What a story. What a journey. And what a contrast to the pathetic version of humanity we’re surrounded by in 2020.
Makes me long for the days of honour. The Japanese were incredible

This is the greatest bit of fiction I’ve read in my entire life. The entire series is special and One could not ask for a better finale than this.
Deep, profound, prophetic, funny, loving, moving.
It’s everything you could want in a story and so much more.

I’ve read my fair share of books over the last 15yrs and of the 1000 odd that I’ve devoured, this is by far the most important.

Rand’s understanding of the fundamental principles of life & reality, and her ability to weave them into a captivating narrative about the heroes we all internally aspire to be, is second to none.

This is a MUST listen. Especially against the backdrop of the stupidity that is 2020

I feel like I dropped 30 points of IQ listening to this. And I really tried. All the way to the end.

He contradicts himself all throughout, in a bid to “explore” different aspects of economics, but takes NO TIME in the beginning to define any of the fundamental elements, like; what is economics the study of? What is money? How did it emerge?

There’s no discussion of human action, Private property rights, the principles of capital & capitalism or any of those core ideas.

He even says crap like savers & investors are on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to analysing the benefits of an economic approach 🤦🏽‍♂️

Wow. This is embarrassing.
Don’t waste your time.
Go read some Rothbard, Mises or Hayek.
Don’t lower your IQ or waste your precious time with this.

Fucking fantastic!
