This is an excellent novel, and it is read wonderfully by the author. The characterization and setting are richly drawn, and entirely believable. The novel is disturbing and violent, but it has depth and humanity within it.

This is a terrific emotional horror/fantasy novel about family and fighting monsters that has strong characters with believable motivations. Kate Mulgrew's reading is wonderful.

An excellent work with well-developed characters that sets the scene for the books to come. Multi-layered and rich, with dark humour, tragedy and action. I particularly enjoy how Abercrombie shys away from doing the expected. Read masterfully, as always, by Steven Pacey.

I'm not sure if I would describe this as a fantasy novel, but it is an excellent story. It is part thriller, part detective story, and part historical fiction. A passionate love of the natural world shows through Catriona Ward's beautiful prose, which reminds me somewhat of M.R. Carey's. The characters are very well-developed and the setting is richly described. Bonnyman's narration is wonderful and her Scottish accent is well-suited to the story and characters. Excellent. The only slight qualm I have with the audiobook is that sometimes the pauses between sections can be a bit long.

A terrific book, and one of the saddest books of Abercrombie I've read so far. There is humour, but this one is bitter. Excellent writing as usual and a wonderful performance by Stephen Pacey.

This was an incredibly well-written novel, performed wonderfully by Finty Williams. Well recommended for lovers of horror/scifi/literary fiction and well, just damn good writing. Might be good to read the story of Pandora in Greek myths first, as it's quite significant in the story.

A terrific action-packed end to the trilogy, read masterfully by Stephen Pacey. It's well worth the price, and packs a real emotional punch.

Loved both of these stories, but it's worth buying for 'Shark, Shark' alone. Grinning as I write this review.
