Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.

I have read or listened to all of Brene's books, completed one of her courses and listened to and watched everything I can; I wish I had read this one first as I believe it is her best! I found it so relevant to me and it uncovered so many answers for me; it was like light bulb moment after light bulb moment and I look forward to practicing what I have learned.
I would recommend it to a friend and will buy a hard copy for myself and my 3 daughters.

Wasn't overly fussed with the narrator as I prefer Brene reading her own books.

"My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me. I'm in a coma. My husband doesn't love me anymore. Sometimes I lie." Unnerving, twisted and utterly compelling, you won't be able to put this new thriller down. Set to be the most talked about book in 2017, it's perfect for fans of Behind Closed Doors, The Girl on the Train and The Widow.

The Dalai Lama's cat is back - older, a bit wiser and as curious as ever. In this audiobook, the Dalai Lama sets for his lovable feline companion the task of investigating the art of purring. Whether it's the humorous insights gained from a visiting Ivy League Psychology Professor, the extraordinary research of a world-famous biologist, or the life-changing revelations of a mystical yogi, His Holiness's cat encounters a wealth of wisdom about happiness.

Would you listen to The Art of Purring again? Why?

I have listened to this book about 30 times. I enjoy the story, the learning's, the characters and the journey every time.

What other book might you compare The Art of Purring to, and why?

I have never read books that have hooked me the way these 3 have.

Any additional comments?

I fell in love with HHC and enjoyed visiting the Himalayan Book Cafe. The characters were fun and great to get to know and I always felt like I was there and like if I went there I would know exactly where to go to find the places mentioned in the 3 books.

Featuring a delightful cast of characters and timeless Buddhist wisdom, and with His Holiness' compassion pervading every chapter, The Dalai Lama's Cat is simply enchanting. Not so much fly-on-the-wall as cat-on-the-sill, this is the warmhearted tale of a small kitten rescued from the slums of New Delhi who finds herself in a beautiful sanctuary with sweeping views of the snowcapped Himalayas.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Dalai Lama's Cat + The Dalai Lama's Cat: Guided Meditations to be better than the print version?

I absolutely LOVE this book. I have listened to it about 30 times and I love it more every time. It is without a doubt (along with the other 2) my favorite book ever.

What did you like best about this story?

I fell in love with HHC and enjoyed visiting the Himalayan Book Cafe. The characters were fun and great to get to know and I always felt like I was there and like if I went there I would know exactly where to go to find the places mentioned in the 3 books.

Syd. His strength of character and integrity was very appealing and I loved Mrs Trinchie.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Not a cat person? HHC might just change that!

Dr. Brown defines spirituality as something not reliant on religion, theology, or dogma - rather, it is a belief in our interconnectedness and in a loving force greater than ourselves. Whether you access the sacred through traditional worship, solitary meditation, communion with nature, or creative pursuits, one thing is clear: Rising strong after falling is a spiritual practice that brings a sense of perspective, meaning, and purpose to our lives.

What made the experience of listening to Rising Strong as a Spiritual Practice the most enjoyable?

I always enjoy listening to Brene narrate her own stuff. I would have loved to have her narrate the actual book but this was great.

What about Brené Brown’s performance did you like?

Her sense of humor and that she relates to what she says. Her personal courage to be vulnerable is encouraging.

In the latest installment of the Dalai Lama's Cat series, His Holiness' Cat ('HHC') is on a mission: to think less, to experience more, to live in the moment. She soon learns the proper phrase for this: being mindful, or a concept better known to her as the power of meow. What ensues is a journey to discover her own true nature, to gain a deeper understanding of her mind, and to experience life's greatest joy: the here and now.

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.
