Does not live up to the hype . . . RETURNED IT.
I have heard Jordan on numerous podcasts, and in dynamic discussions he shines. But this book, the stories and performance are uninspiring and bitter.
This is a Sunday church sermon at its worst.
Beyond the extensive use of Biblical stories, Peterson’s support for his rules rely heavily on stories, overlooking extensive published research that would have offered greater credibility (Gladwell, Arieli, Taleb and Harris are all superb at this).
Clearly Peterson resonates with many listeners, maybe suitable for the first step into self reflection. But not likely to resonate with those who are already established on the journey of seeking to become a ‘better person’.
My first returned Audible purchase.
