This book deals with the serious issue of food addiction and the solution is to restrict for life both food and portions. It does make sense and someone following the very low calorie plan will lose weight but the actual outworking of this program would requires some serious inner strength especially for someone with disordered eating.

I had heard rave reviews but basically the solution to heal yourself is to water fast. Not helpful for long term freedom from the pleasure trap. Excellent ideas but no practical advice on how to live day to day and it clearly states that to achieve freedom is almost impossible like giving up drugs. Only a small few can actually achieve it. Not helpful.
