Where to start?...with the whiney one dimensional main character? or with the plot that jump around like crazy giving the bare minimum of details about significant events while prattling on for paragraphs whenever the main character went off on one of her MANY "tangents"

Honestly reading this book was like being shoved inside the head of the most fake, overly stereotypical, blonde ditz you can imagine! She seemed like the type of person who would be fascinated to find that if she left a block of ice in the heat it would become a puddle.

What could possibly make this worse you may ask? Having the audiobook narrated by someone who sounds like an extra whiney version of your 10 year old sister. The narration (helped along by the often juvenile choice of language for this supposed college graduate character) made her sound like a spoilt little brat who just had her toys taken away from her, both at 10 and at 22.

I finished this book out of curiosity to see if it had any redeeming qualities, but honestly couldn't take anymore of the narrator's whiney voice. Now that I have finished the book....I can't say I gained anything from the experience, though being stuck inside that main characters head I may have sadly lost a few brain cells and IQ points.

if you've read this far and are curiously wondering if you can handle reading this book (particularly the audiobook) first imagine every "dumb blonde" character type from every cheesy teen movie, rolled into one character with their most annoying traits amplified and ask yourself if you want to spend 200 something pages trapped inside their head.

loved the story! I really just wish that when they've got two voice actors for the narration they would have them each speak the dialogue no matter which point of view that particular chapter is from.

I enjoyed the premise and characters of this story. The plot I found at times a little slow going and unnecessarily wordy. But all in all it was an enjoyable read and I do plan on continuing with the series.

The narration was good though I kept wanting to hear the different voices at the same time. I wish the voices for Rafe and Kaden were used throughout the story not just when the chapter was from their perspective. The chapters where happening in 'real time' and the change between hearing their masculine voices to hearing the voice of Lia attempting to sound like them was often quite jarring to the overall flow of the story.
