I Particularly loved how the author manage to wave in so many interesting small anecdotes and points of interest into the story about buildings people places and the time. The story was engaging and I looked forward to listening it. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a book with an element of history based in Europe and Britain and an underlying essence of what happened to those people during World War II in Germany Czechoslovakia and London

Was worth staying till the end

The story started somewhat slowly for me and I wanted to put the book down a few times. Whilst I enjoyed the story, I found the narrator a little on the high side for my liking and often found myself trying to get more depth into the voice. I was glad I listened to the whole thing as it ended up finishing very nicely and wrapped itself up well.
