The book is so rounded great listen. The narrator is to die for x and that’s all I have- just need fifteen words. Just a king fan but now researching every book this narrator is involved in ❤️

The felt the closest to the antagonist and the ongoing story in this book of the three. Very realistic as a parent of a child with autism and a credit to the author for his research and understanding; specifically of the complexity of living within the community and its spectrum of understanding as well as the current educational system.

What a shame the author plugs bias against bias; I have stooped listening halfway through, but will continue due to my honest interest in the research.

If only there was more..

At first I found the narration droll but the voice was so unusual I kept listening. I am so grateful I did. The narrator was the perfect fit; emotion creeping ever so gently as the bond between characters grew.

Mystical with an aged historical element, I loved truly this book. Thank you .

Looking forward to the next!

Can’t wait for Gail’s next book; wonderful writer.
This story is unique in showing the life of a young woman unwittingly isolated through a traumatic experience in youth. The strength through her unfolding growth in reaching for human companionship is told with great emotion and skill.

Wonderfully compiled Australian novel. Loved the experience- the characters jumped out from the pages. I felt the bond between each person depicted. Could not put it down. Crazy good !

I’m sorry you and your children experienced this trauma. I do not believe the brutal details in print will help them. For your therapeutic process- yes it may help you. Group therapy can also help x I really wish a positive and healthy future for you all but I will not keep these recounted memories. Keep moving forward and know you are not alone x

I will hope to review again in 2050! What a talent. What a mind. What an incredibly detailed story.

Laughing to myself at the end, I suddenly had to hold back the impulse to take a sharp breath when considering the impact of our current fake news’ issue on future generations- the least of the similarities, I suppose.
