Classic Death in Paradise - DI Poole at his eccentric best in a tale of many knots and tangles. Cameo humour involving companionable Harry the lizard. On-going mix of expectation, respect and tolerant good natured acceptance of their Chief from the Saint Marie police. And the usual unwinding of the threads at the end. Loved it!

Well produced stories, with great narration by Neil Dudgeon. Love the easy fruendship between Jack and Sarah, and the regukar characters, and the stories are interesting and believable. Great listening .

A slightly different hero in a less typical Dick Francis story. The fear, like the plot, grows with each chapter until the unravelling is done. I think this is the best Dick Feancis story I have come accross. Tony Britton is just great at the narration, the characters distinct and acceptable. however, I find the Bolinda production variabke and intrusive enough to detract from the story telling. This aside, definitely a great read.

Exceptional narration by Tony Britton. Fast and furious action, great plot, very good good guys and despicable bad guys. And the sound quality was good for easy listening. A great read.

Philip Feanks does a great job of narration, but even his characterisations and modulations cant hide the outrageous and distinctly implausible murder. It is, however, a nice introduction to Nigel Bathgate and Angela North. Perhaps this was a contractual obligation book.

The story is pure Dick Francis - clever plot, exciting twists, a bit of sex, thoroughly described violence, and a happy hero ending. a ripping yarn... The narration is very good, and made the story come alive. BUT the productin quality was quite variable, sounding sometimes very clear snd close, other times fuzzy and on other side of the room. It detracted from the experience.
