Good story, spoiled by horrible narration. The only thing that compelled me to continue listening was familiarity with the story, knowing it was good. Roy Dotrice has a grating voice, made worse when he tries on different characters. Most distracting and irritating is his repeated and frequent mispronunciation of common names - eg Winterfall instead of Winterfell.

Enjoyable stories. Expect nothing less from JKR! Really good narration. The only drawback is the sound effects, which are distracting and very tacky.

If I can only recommend one book in my entire life, it is this one. Light bulb moment after light bulb moment. I wish everyone would read this, it would change the world. Thank you, Johann, with all my heart.

What a wonderful series of books by Michelle Paver, and a wonderful series of performances by Sir Ian McKellen.

Brilliant adaptation of a well known story. Captivating narration/performance by Armitage. I loved this, and didn't want it to end!

A wonderful story, beautifully performed by Sir Ian. I say "performed" because he does so much more than simply read the book. The story is well paced, and easy to follow. Highly recommend this to pre teens, teens and adults alike.
