I first became aware of Johann when I heard his Ted talk which I had to listen to as part of an alcohol and other drugs course. Later on one of my clients gave me chasing the scream, I knew the name of the writer but could not place it. With the help of Google I realised that this was the person who’s TED talk directed my clinical practice in rehab. But more importantly for me it has helped me to understand my own addiction. I realise I’m not a bad person, a weak person, or a pathetic person. I am a lonely person going through things and this book has helped me to overcome my addiction.Thank you Johann words cannot express how important this book has been. my only regret is I have to return my hard copy to the client who loaned it to me. Lol😝

Why have I waited so long?

As I listen to the Bond stories I really find myself asking why I waited so long to read them. Fleming is awesome in capturing a dark man of action. I can’t wait till the next one.

A quirky and light hearted book which leaves you considering reality and what is real and what isn’t. With it’s respectful nods to Sc fi and it’s culture the story is fast paced and at times unpredictable. I did have reservations about Will W. Being the performer, but they were unjustified as he did a superb job. Well worth it.

Masterfully crafted and wonderfully read.

Zahn and Thompson ... what a combination. The imagination of Zahn, who brought us my favourite EU character, given life by the vocal range of Thompson. Together they give us a book which is not only a biography but a prequel, I won’t spoil to what. Once again Thompson demonstrates why he is my favourite Star Wars narrator. Thanks guys.

A true inspiration.

I have the physical copy of this book, but as an interesting experiment I downloaded the Audible. The reason for this is it was read by JBP himself. The inflections and emphasis he puts on certain terms opens a whole new interpretation. Indeed he has helped me to grow the hell up. Thankyou.

As always Thompson nailed it.

As a huge fan of Star Wars I love the fact that the EU is in this format, allowing me to keep up to date whilst at the gym. Marc Thompson remains one of my favourite audible narrators. He nails each character, as well as carrying the mood of the story.

Well worth is.

I’ve been meaning to read Frankenstein for a number of years. Now thanks to audible I have. This book, brilliantly read by Derek Jacobi is proof that you must NEVER judge a book by its movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this chilling story, considered by many to be the first Sci Fi novel.
