Frustratingly weak start in another novel based on people’s inability to just communicate. However it picked up pace with the exploration of the many character’s responses to the horoscope predictions. Loved the tale of Brown Houdini Malarkey

Ms McTiernan writes a great crime novel. However She goes the extra mile with the development of her characters. I love getting to know them and love that they impress as being real people. I can’t wait for the next novel. Thank you for your great work and ideas. Sue

This story is lovely. It also is adeptly written with the reveals occurring along the journey and through the whole book until the end. I have as happily captivated. Loved it!

Great novel. The story was really well developed and was humane and insightful. The plot had complexity and unfolded throughout the novel, not just as a final rush. The performance was perfect for this book and overall. A great read!

It grows on with its unique plot but I found it a bit drawn out and it took a while to get into. I thought the characters were interesting but unbelievable. I guess a fairytale for adults.

This is a beautiful description of a hard life, of difficult choices. The language makes this impossible to put down. I truly experienced the trauma of Sandra and her clients lives, often moving me to tears, but I never felt the author was being gratuitous.

Great read for young adult and adult audience.

Poignant and thoughtful story, with a realistic portrayal of this family s struggle. Most impressive was the insight into the way an autistic boy sees the world. Definitely worth reading. Sue

I love detective, crime and thrillers. But this one is different, s slightly quirky and more interesting story. The narrator is perfect for the style. The characters are easy to know and develop an affinity with. Great read!

He never disappoints with the unravelling mystery and interplay of characters. I just keep reading/listening.

The gravelly voice and laconic style of the reader was perfect.
