The story took a while to get into the real meaty bits of it; even then it was predictable. Overall a very easy read/listen.

An okay mindless read. Not too much depth to the characters or storyline. The twists aren’t cliffhangers but never the less I listened all the way through whilst working because the story didn’t need much concentration.

Love that this book got straight to the story with no mindless lead up. However the ending did seem a bit wavering. I would have liked the twist to have a stronger character that was built up more intensely rather than just plonked as the twist and ending. I enjoyed the read and got through the book quicker than usual.

Loved this book!! It was incredibly vulnerable and relatable from the very first page. Honeyman created a character that was so raw and delicate you couldn’t help but be drawn in. This book has quickly slotted into my top 5!

This story was fun. It was however also predictable in a 'too good to be true' way without any real obstacles for the characters. Everything floated along perfectly well in the main character's life without much real struggle or background. Never the less I enjoyed the book. The Wickham Hall inspired recipes at the end of the book was a nice surprise & I only wish they were incorporated throughout the novel.

Such a delightful book. The story is simple and opens itself beautifully to be fun, insightful and cheerful. I found myself passionately responding to characters and unable to stop listening to this audio. Indeed it is an easy read but so worth it for a short break from the doom and gloom of overly realistic novels.

I disliked this novel the audiobook was broken into 2 parts - I felt as though the story should have just started on the second part. It was a slow and pointless story up until the last 4/5 chapters. I felt that the characters lacked excitement or my sympathy. I couldn't engage with any of these characters.

Completely consuming novel with beautiful woven words to create a wonderful story. Words of wisdom on every page.
