Loved this book. The way it is written is eye opening, confronting, heart breaking and hopeful. Thank you for a such a descriptive experience of the life of a child living in trauma and the foster care system. Just shows you the children hardest to love have been through the most. Will recommend this to everyone I know.

After seeing the movie on tv I thought I must read this book to see what really happened (or as close to). Such a great story that details so much about the mountain and the people climbing it. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was amazing and provoked my imagination beyond anything I had seen before. It also made me terribly sad to read about those left on the mountain and the fear they would have experienced. It leaves many questions about what happened with those who were lost. My only negative feedback is the narrator reading speech in the persons accent. They were terrible. It could have just been read as normal to the same effect.
