I have dropped this down to 4 stars in overall and story simply because of the ending. I won't post any spoilers but it felt like this big win and then the reader/listener was left hanging wanting to know what happened next. Grisham doesn't do romance and I get that but if you are going to put in your books don't leave the audience hanging.
As normal unfortunately he narrators on Grisham's book are a bit dry and monotone to listen to. The story is good enough to continue listening though

This book is certainly not the best work of GRISHAM. The narrator is a bit dry and monotone. Overall the story is ok but nothing amazing

This book was well written. I did find it slow in some places and the narration got a little boring at times but overall I would suggest that this is one of the better books that has been written about Queen Victoria.
It delves into her personal life with clarity and allows us to understand one of the greatest monarchs in history with a lot more clarity. It has allowed me to connect with her on a personal level as well. I find it easy to put the crown on a pedestal and think that live this extraordinary life, but this book shows the truths behind the crown so much better than any other. It reminds us that, although Victoria is one of the greatest monarchs to live so far she was also a normal human, mother, sister, daughter and wife. It shows her flaws in all of these areas which is important for us to understand the monarch.

When I chose to get this book I was unsure what I would think of it. I have read a lot of material on Jack The Ripper and I love Victorian England, specifically London. This was a brave book to write.
It has turned out to be one of the best reads I have had this year, I loved it that much I will be purchasing a hardcopy for my bookshelves.
If you are unsure about this book just get it, you will not be disappointed.

I really do not understand why this book has such a big following. It is slow and boring. The performance of the narrator put me ro sleep. My suggestion, watch the show before purchasing this book at least that is a little bit interesting.

Sherlock is simply timeless, the story's and how they are told aren't stuck in the 1800s but at the same time they have the quality of that era of writing. And can anyone honestly fault Stephen Fry as a narrator

He is the only Newt Scamander, his narration of Fantastic Beasts is just perfection. The detail in which J.K Rowling has goven us is her usual level of exception.

I started this book on a suggestion from Facebook. It isn't the type of book that I would pick up but OMG. After listening to the first chapter I had to go out and buy the physical books they were that good.
