Story
The world’s most trusted guide for leaders in transition. Transitions are a critical time for leaders. In fact, most agree that moving into a new role is the biggest challenge a manager will face. While transitions offer a chance to start fresh and make needed changes in an organization, they also place leaders in a position of acute vulnerability. Missteps made during the crucial first three months in a new role can jeopardize or even derail your success.

Dry but informative
Reviewed: 27-06-2020
This was a tough book to listen to via audio book. the speaker was very monotonous, which really didn't help make the content any less dry, since it was as dry as an overdone steak. While the content was definitely useful, I struggled to listen to it all because of how "step by step" it was, as opposed to telling a story. This is a book better read on paper.

In this new book from the best-selling author of Drive, Dan Pink explores the ways in which we can all improve our sales skills in every area of our lives and identifies the three personal qualities and four essential skills necessary to move people. Relying on science rather than platitudes and analysis instead of exhortation, Dan builds on his own sales experience and on the profiles of some of the world's best salespeople - and makes us look again at our own sales skills.

Great book for people who would like to know how to move others in a more meaningful way. Great to hear how we can better influence others.
As a sales person, this book was not as impactful as I had expected, however if I were not a salesperson, I could see how this could be majorly impactful.

Fanatical Prospecting gives salespeople, sales leaders, entrepreneurs, and executives a practical, eye-opening guide that clearly explains the why and how behind the most important activity in sales and business development: prospecting. The brutal fact is that the number one reason for failure in sales is an empty pipe, and the root cause of an empty pipeline is the failure to consistently prospect.

A lot of really good points, and definitely learned a lot.
A few arguments they made were not backed with statistics that had a good methodology, but nonetheless still valuable.
The delivery of analogies and providing of statistics was incredibly hard to follow, and a lot of information that was not useful to the reader was provided, which ruined the flow for me often times.
Not a bad book, but I feel as though there were better ones on the same topic. Will definitely test some of these methods out myself though.
