Taron Edgerton does a superb job narrating the big, big life of Elton in a work hard to fault. Thoroughly enjoyed this, and learned plenty about a superb musician that I greatly admire. Very highly recommended.

A very listenable audiobook, truly enjoyed being immersed in Phillip life, and what a huge, eventful life ot has been. Self effacing, and no holds barred, there is sadness within, along with ongoing triumph over adversity. A privileged life does not always mean an easy one - a fascinating listen, and, I feel, even had I not followed Phils career, and that of Genesis, I would have still found much to love about this work.

Another great piece of work by Hepworth, enjoyed as with the others, a pleasure to listen to.

Mandatory stuff for anyone so very fortunate to have grown up, lived and watched live music throughout the 70s. Hepworth knows his stuff, and for me, that's enough. I know he doesn't appeal to everyone, but precision of facts is where its all at, man. Carried me back many times- highly recommended within its genre

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the off, and whilst I am a fan of the man, I was far from an all encompassing one. One thing is for certain, I will be reviewing my Costello collection and amping it up substantially after this. It really is superb and a massive insight into a musical genius and a very big life. You will not regret investing your time in this author-read brilliant autobiography. Extremely highly recommended.

Well worthy of the time investment for fans and others of the inimitable Mike Tyson. Very glad to have been on board for the ride, very little of which slows down. An awesome insight.

I knew rather well of Dave Stewart's immense talent, of the scope and vastness of his life work thus far. I was an admirer of Dave's work, at least in so far as I knew it to stretch, and a big enough fan of Eurythmics to warrant my listening to this author narrated bio. This is, truly, a masterpiece and has taken me so much further than I had anticipated. I urge anyone on the cusp of deciding if this book is for them, to plunge in without fear. One of my very favourites, without doubt, and one I really did not wish to end. Sensational stuff throughout, from a true musical genius.

Having read a few reviews relating to the poor choice of narrator, I thought well, how bad can he be? He really doesn't come across well, and in trying to state why, I'd concur that even by Ozzys standards, the Brummie accent is layed on way too thickly....it simply did, for me, spoil the experience of an otherwise and, as expected great yarn from one of rocks wildest men.

Being a decade older than the author made little difference to the pleasure of this book. Music does, for most and, definitely for me, define the many other aspects of our life, bookmarking events at critical points and reminding us of so many things.....many things having remained buried in time, until these musical bookmarks unearth them. For mine, one of the best examples showing and highlighting the massive power of music as it touches us. A remarkable book, but and listen/read without hesitation.

Great Read, thoroughly enjoyed this.

I very much enjoy Luke as the awesome guitarist he is and Toto as the incredible band they were, as an average fan largely. This was a great bio and as such, one I recommend highly for even the slightest of fans/followers. Amazing!!
