Story
Peter F. Hamilton’s startling perspectives on tomorrow’s technological and cultural trends span vast tracts of space and time, his stories are as compelling as they are epic in scope, and yet they are always grounded in characters – human, alien and other – who, for all their strangeness, still touch our hearts and fire our imaginations.

Words cannot describe what this story meant to me, friendships love and amazing sci-fi. Some of the most impactful characters tied together in a well constructed vast story that spans the galaxy. highly recommended.

Story
AD 3580. The Intersolar Commonwealth has spread through the galaxy to over a thousand star systems. It is a culture of rich diversity with a place for everyone. Even death itself has been overcome. But at the centre of the Commonwealth is a massive black hole. This Void is not a natural artefact. Inside there is a strange universe where the laws of physics are very different to those we know. It is slowly consuming the other stars of the galactic core - one day it will devour the entire galaxy.

Story
More than 3,000 years have passed since the first events recorded in Dune. Only one link survives with those tumultuous times: the grotesque figure of Leto Atreides, son of the prophet Paul Muad'Dib, and now the virtually immortal God Emperor of Dune. He alone understands the future, and he knows with a terrible certainty that the evolution of his race is at an end unless he can breed new qualities into his species.

amazing book, amazing performance

I loved this book, probably more than the first, even though that was really good itself and this was a lot shorter in length. for me the story on this one was slots easier to follow than the original( surprising for dune book lol), I put this down to the short form factor allowing it to tie together in my mind a bit better. I highly recommend this one as the story was amazing and intriguing, and all actors did an amazing job portraying the characters. Thankyou for everyone involved in bringing this to audible it is greatly appreciate :)

heavy on background detail, light on story
Reviewed: 26-06-2017
the story was not a lot deeper than the movie, however it gave a lot of background to the science behind Jurassic park.
just a heads up though, John Hammond is really very unlikable in the book version so if you had any positive opinion of him the book will rob you of that.
Also the young girl is incredibly annoying and the very appropriate voice acting makes her so much more so, by the 50th "TIMMY" I wanted to bust open my eardrums
good listen though, just a tad too long and drops off in substance towards the end.
