An original and beautiful love story, very enjoyable and thought provoking. The underlying current of hope and often beautiful prose lifting the story any time it threatened to turn bleak.

Funny, touching, heart wrenching, a wonderful story. You are rooting for Eleanor at every tiny step. This story really stayed with me, can't wait for more from this author.

I loved this as a child and my young boys now enjoy the story on long car trips. Great to hear the stories again for us parents and the narration is not irritating as with a lot of other children's audiobooks.

Despite it being a completely new genre to me I really enjoyed this book and often find myself mulling the storyline over. I was concerned the subject matter would be too disturbing, however the author concentrated on the characters and story and we aren't subjected to anything grisly or detailed. Will be looking for more from this author.
