I love these little stories for their humour, wit and charm and especially because of Nathaniel Parker's fabulous narration.

Perhaps this book does not translate well into audio format, as there is so little dialogue. I wanted to persevere because of the very positive reviews but I felt disconnected from the flat characters and disengaged from the slow moving story. In the end, after several hours I have given up.
