Robin Hobb has created a world that I am convinced must be real, and the characters are my most beloved friends and family. I used to think I was not a fantasy reader, but she has convinced me otherwise. It took me 4 years to read all 16 books, this last one alone taking 6 months- both because I didn't want it to end and because it was so emotional, I almost couldn't bear it at some stages. Read these books if you read to be truly transported to a completely different world. An incredible writer.
