great book and story, great writing and world, but for some reason they swap the voice actor for the baron back and forth a few times, so for the whole book I thought there were two very similar baron characters and was very confused by the ending. bear it in mind - the deep rich mufasa-like baron character and the pompous clock-from-beauty-and-beast baron are the same character.

Staggering, fascinating, devastating & insightful

my God. I just...I'm lost for words. its so well researched and written and read, the points it makes shine a light on incredibly important details of the human experience that have otherwise been left entirely in darkness. this is the best nonfiction book I've ever read or heard. buy this book, listen to it. your mind will be expanded.

great fun, well read, very technical

the intrigue engages strongly after a bit of a slow start into a fun, short, self contained story. the reader is excellent and does the characters distinctly. its not a huge problem, but a large percentage of the text is taken up by explaining the chemistry and physics behind everything that happens. for some I'm sure its paradise - having finished this book I now know precisely how a moon base would be constructed and maintained - but quite honestly "she cut a hole in the aluminium sheet with a blowtorch" would be sufficient for me. I don't need two paragraphs on the aceteline/oxygen ratio necessary to light a blowtorch in a vacuum. its only one star off though (its an audio book, if you don't care about the chemistry you can skip ahead or zone out and pet a cat for a few moments instead), I cared about the characters and I believed their motivations, there's some interesting twists and turns, can't say another bad word about it. you won't sprint home to tell your mother about this unbelievable book you've found, but it'll entertain you right to the end.

The most important book I've ever bought.

this book teaches love and inclusion, not to chastise. some kids may find this book more comforting than their own parents, this is the world we live in. luckily, this book is a vital foothold in disrupting the heavy blanket of prejudice surrounding us. Thanks mr.Oliver

a bit of a slow beginning but a spectacular intriguing well written story with fleshed out and relatable characters. the narrators voice flows like a southern honey and it's long enough to last a few months of train trips
