I'm a bit of a Phil Carlo fan and have read several of his other books, but for me this one didn't really work as an audio book. Whilst this is a fascinating story and the way the crimes and the hunt for the killer are described is pretty good, the last 10 hours of it (the court proceedings) needed to be condensed. It was a proper struggle to get through and goes into way too much detail on superflous events.
I'm sorry to say the narration didn't work for me either and it significantly lowered the listening experience. Having a male voice mimicking the words of others, specifically trying to vocalise what women or Asians would sound like, was just cringeworthy.

I'd actually still recommend it just because the story is so hard to believe/terrifying. It just could have been better.

Outstanding listening

Enjoyed everything about this. It's a hard-to-believe and horrible story but it is extremely well written and well read. Finished it and then just started it again straight away.
